"Have Fun Storming the Castle!"

Wow! I am in love with Edinburgh! I don't think I can even explain how beautiful it is but I'll try.

First things first. After the Titanic visit, we caught a taxi to the ferry landing. I was a bit concerned about all the handle bars everywhere inside the cab. Were we gonna need them??!

We made it safely to the Stena Line landing and got on a ferry to cross into Scotland. I must say, the Irish/Scots' idea of a ferry is a wee bit off. This thing was huge!

We were so impressed, we even shelled out the £5 to upgrade to their relaxation room. Unfortunately, it worked too well and we slept through the crossing. No matter, since the day had started very foggy and dreary.

Once landed, we got on the bus to Glasgow/Edinburgh. I took so many pictures! The scenery was just too perfect.

We got to Edinburgh early enough to sight see and, again, there's just too many pictures. I'll just post a few of our favorites. Like Edinburgh Castle.

And basically every street, including the Royal Mile. (I think that one is it... Haven't sorted them yet)

And what I'm calling the Eye of Saruman Tower. We actually climbed that puppy!

And it was this sister's fault.
Didn't know we could go in till she told us. 😁 She said she's officially our new Grandma. ❤️

I was definitely reconsidering the wisdom of climbing it by the first landing.

It was a tight squeeze.

So tight, my glasses got scratched.

(No worries. I got insurance. 😉)

My stubbornness finally paid off!

And I made it up the 200+ steps.

Worth it!

We found two cool pubs. The oldest one:

And the smallest one:

The Scotsman Steps, a staircase made with 104 different colors marble. (These people love stairs!)

And we even found a leprechaun... Sorta.

A husker or two.

And even the Loch Ness monster.....'s baby cousin.

There were many amazing sights.

Basically, everywhere was picture perfect.

And now I'm laying in my bunk. (Way at the bottom)

And thinking that maybe I should have gotten that wee bottle of whisky, after all.

Next up: London!
